Animation software in Nigeria

Animation software in Nigeria. Hey! Let’s talk about animation software in Nigeria bit. They are used in different part of the world for making animation film.

“What software should I use?”

Isn’t that the most common question?

Which animation company in Nigeria can i learn animation from? Which

Is it MayaAfter EffectsAnimate CC? Iclone?

Best options for beginners, professionals, 2D or 3D for making animation.

First let me be a smartass and say that the software doesn’t matter in animation.

Software is like a tool. It depending on who’s using it. Animation software used in Nigeria vary depending on individual animator.

It’s like a camera. If you wait for the best one to make a film with, odds are you’ll never make a animation film.

So don’t overthink the software and get freaked out about it so much that it stops you from getting started or joining millions of people in animation world.

Use whatever software feels comfortable to you.

If you are looking for the best animation company in Nigeria to help you get started, feel free to check in at DEEJOFT Animation studio or you need recommendation on animation software in Nigeria most commonly used.

So now I’ll stop being annoying and list the programs I most recommend for animation software in Nigeria and for upcoming animator

I’ll explain in detail who should use which one, but just so you don’t feel like you were left without a list – here is my list for animation software in Nigeria

3D ANIMATION SOFTWARE IN NIGERIA

Iclone

That’s what I used to make my first animation project, so I’m used to it. It doesn’t mean it’s the best option, it just means I’m comfortable using it and can be most productive with it. It’s also a very good animation software in Nigeria for making film, advertisement and products animation.

Autodesk Maya

Maya is the industry standard 3D software, used in most studios for making animation film and an animation software in Nigeria used by animator . Maya, Soft image (which was discontinued) and 3D Max all belong to Autodesk and work quite similarly. Choosing one is a matter of personal preference for making animation film.

Cinema 4D

Cinema 4D is a motion graphics artist’s best friend. It is a 3D animation software in Nigeria, program for the After Effects user. Very intuitive, and works directly with After Effects without the need to render first.

This would not be my first choice for serious 3D animation film production, since it is designed from the ground-up with motion graphics in mind, but it is an amazing and quite versatile program.

Blender

Blender is an open source, free 3D animation software. it provides a broad spectrum of modeling, texturing, lighting, animation and video post-processing functionality in one package.

Through its open architecture, Blender provides cross-platform interoperability, extensibility, an incredibly small footprint, and a tightly integrated workflow for making animation.

2D ANIMATION SOFTWARE IN NIGERIA

Adobe Animate (Formerly known as Flash)

Probably the most popular 2D animation software out there. Animate has a long lineage of animation making, dating back to the early days of internet video publishing.

It is vector based, very intuitive to use (as are most of Adobe’s programs) and relatively inexpensive. It’s great for getting started with 2D animation, and though it’s not meant for professional high-end 2D animation production (unlike Toon Boom Harmony or TVPaint) you can still get amazing results with it.

Toon Boom Harmony

Toon Boom offers a user-friendly set of animation programs that has advanced rigging systems, effects and camera tools also by animation company in Nigeria and serves as a good as tool for animation software in Nigeria

It is vector based, but the more advanced version also has the option for bitmap drawing.

They offer different packages for different prices. The packages are Harmony Essentials, Harmony Advanced, and Harmony Premium. For hobbyists animators I would suggest the Essentials package which is not very expensive.

Here’s a very detailed comparison between Animate CC and Toon Boom Harmony.

TVPaint

A french animation software, TVPaint is the all-in-one 2D animation software you’ll ever need.

With a heavy focus on hand-drawn 2D animation, it’s definitely more robust and complex than most programs, and it’s also a bit pricier. This software is for professional animators and studios.

Character Animator

This one stands out of the bunch as it uses performance-capture to drive the animation with your own face. You can use a webcam and a microphone to control the character rig, and with auto lip-sync it makes the animation process much quicker and great for non-animators.

After Effects

An interesting choice for 2D animation. After effects gives you great control when creating rigs for 2D, and using the puppet tool is very convenient and intuitive.

I think it’s a great choice if you’re already comfortable with the Adobe environment, but that’s a matter of preference.

Moho (Anime Studio)

Moho is a complete 2D animation package that can produce traditional animation, cut-out animation and anime style animation. It has a complex bone system for rigging and even supports the Unity engine.

It offers two packages, the Debut and the Pro. The debut is for hobbyists and beginners while the pro offers working professionals its most advanced tools.

Stop Motion

Dragonframe

If you’re planning on making a professional stop-motion videos, Dragonframe is the best tool for the job. Its comprehensive software can be used with many different attachments, such as a device that controls the camera, lights and even pull focus.

It provides the user complete control over the lighting of the shot with an option to program the dimming of the different lights over a period of time, and it comes with a keypad controller for easy control of the photo taking process, as well as flipping between frames.

Dragonframe is the industry standard for stop-motion animation, and was used on films such as Kubo and the Two Strings and Shaun the Sheep.
